Independence comes first
Our verdicts are formed before any commercial consideration enters the room. We earn affiliate commissions, disclosed in full in the Affiliate Disclosure, but those deals never decide a ranking, a rating or a recommendation. Editorial and commercial are separate functions, and editorial wins every disagreement between them.
Everything is tested
We do not review from a press kit. A claim that cannot survive real, sustained use does not make it into a piece. Scores reflect hands-on testing measured against published criteria — the whole process is laid out, step by step, in our Testing Methodology. Where we describe a feature, we have used it.
Accuracy and sourcing
Facts are checked before publication, and figures are dated because this field moves quickly. When we cite outside research or a platform's own documentation, we link to it so you can read the source yourself rather than take our word for it.
Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes; everyone does. When we do, we fix the piece and note the change openly rather than editing the record in silence. If you spot a mistake, tell us through Contact and we will act on it.
On the use of AI
It would be strange to cover AI tools dishonestly about our own. We use software to assist with drafting and research, but a human editor — named, accountable, and described on Maya Brennan's profile — is responsible for every published judgement. The testing, the scoring and the final word are human.
Authorship and accountability
